I'm on a journey to read through the Bible in chronological order. Taking it one day at a time, I will read based on a list I found on the internet and blog about what happened, thoughts provoked, emotions conjured, etc. Enjoy!

Jeremiah 4-9

Jeremiah continues speaking the Lord's words to the people, warning them of the disaster to come. He promises to not completely destroy the earth, but will put a serious hurtin' on it.

God even promises to forgive the city if they can find just one truthful and honest person. Jeremiah thinks...surely in the temple there will be someone...but nope. God is angry at how many times the people have been warned and have not listened. I can understand how frustrating this must be. The only confusion I am having is--when Adam and Eve sinned, the whole world was fallen. God knows this is our nature, while He still wants better from us, He still knew that the people would not listen... it just seems weird that he would know what was going to happen, but was still upset when it did.
