I'm on a journey to read through the Bible in chronological order. Taking it one day at a time, I will read based on a list I found on the internet and blog about what happened, thoughts provoked, emotions conjured, etc. Enjoy!

Day 122: Psalms 1-2, 15, 22-24, 47, 68

Another uplifting Psalm... The man who looks to God will be affirmed and uplifted... I certainly do not want to be like ashes in the wind... floating away to nothingness! God laughs when men attempt to conspire against what he has put into place. Think about a 5 year old attempting to take over the presidency...kind of a joke. We should not only should honor God ourselves, but respect others to honor Him as well. It's about becoming a family in Christ, a group of like-minded individuals coming together for a common purpose.

The words of men who think God has left them are that of a tortured soul... bones feeling out of joint, feeling like a poured out water pitcher... nothing but emptiness. But the ever famous Psalm 23 shows that God is always present and is a calming, comforting presence that will never leave. He gives us strength to face our troubles and leads us to times of mercy. Who is this king of glory? The Lord almighty...

From this mercy and comfort should come an outpouring of ourselves back to God. We are to worship Him--just as David danced with all his might!

Bottom line: the righteous will rise up, and the wicked will perish. Don't judge and claim this right for yourself, but allow God to make the judgments. Don't worry about what is happening to other people and whether or not they are getting their "just deserts". Just worry about your own heart and your relationship with your holy father...

Amen :)
