I'm on a journey to read through the Bible in chronological order. Taking it one day at a time, I will read based on a list I found on the internet and blog about what happened, thoughts provoked, emotions conjured, etc. Enjoy!

Day seventy: Deuteronomy 1-2

in the 4oth year during the 11th month, Moses recaps to the Israelites their journeys... How God has been exponentially good to them throughout the last 40 years of their wanderings. How they traversed, what God told them to do, their sufferings after grumblings, their victorious defeats of the others habitating the land promised to them and how God continued to provide and never left them in want.

Moses is basically reminding the people of how far they have come in the last 40 years. From slaves to conquerors, God has gone before them the entire time to ensure their success. It gives me chills just thinking that the whole time they were worried about their momentary troubles, God already had the next hundreds of year already in mind.

HE alone knows the big picture... who are we to question His wisdom? I hope this story encourages you in your faith...you are never alone--there is a great, big God who has gone before you. One who may let you stumble, but will never let you fall!
