I'm on a journey to read through the Bible in chronological order. Taking it one day at a time, I will read based on a list I found on the internet and blog about what happened, thoughts provoked, emotions conjured, etc. Enjoy!

Day forty-three: Exodus 39-40

The priestly garments (see image above for reference) and Tabernacle are completed exactly the way God tells them to do it. After inspecting and seeing that everything is good, Moses does as the Lord tells him and sets up the Tabernacle courtyard and other items as they should go. Aaron and the other priests are then washed and prepared for their responsibilities.

Then the glory of the Lord settles over the tent in the form of a cloud. Can you even imagine how amazing this must have all been?? Even though they went astray and lost many people in the process, God still used them to fulfill His desires. As wicked as Aaron got, the Lord still blessed him with the anointed position of head priest and used him for His glory. It just goes to show what a gracious and merciful God we serve! What a great day that must have been to see everything you have been through come to fruition and then watch the glory of the Lord settle over it all and know that He is pleased.
